Besides, fairing on her own seemed a much more ideal alternative than sharing a bathroom with as many as ten other children in a makeshift orphanage, and answering to a couple of deficient nitwits masking as adept grown-ups.
With no more than the clothes on her back and what remained of her life in a duffle bag, Katya relied on her quick wits and inherent survival skills to get by. This went on for years to follow, with the two women adopting several different identities, each with their own distinctive and unique personality traits, and together the clever con-artist team swindled wealthy men out of their money.
